TueTuesdayMayMay21st2013 Weakness + CHRIST = Strength
- ‘Charge 2 Action’ -

Here's a simple equation: Weakness + Christ = Strength. In 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, the Apostle Paul says that Jesus told him ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul goes on to say that he will boast even more in his weaknesses so “that the power of Christ may rest upon me (2 Cor 12:9).” Admit you’re a sinner. Admit your faults. Admit your limitations. Admit your flaws to Jesus. Our strength is found in 2 Cor 9:10, “for when I am weak, then I made strong.” His grace is sufficient for you!

TueTuesdayMayMay7th2013 I Am the Light of the World

-‘Charge 2 Action’-

Jesus is the light of the world. Through him and him only we have life. Jesus says in John 8:12 that if we follow him, we will not walk in darkness. With Jesus, we live in light, not darkness. With Jesus, we have life, not death. With Jesus, we have victory, not defeat. Do you see a pattern building? Its about JESUS, JESUS, and more JESUS! Make your light shine.

TueTuesdayAprApril9th2013 God is Always in the Storm

-Charge 2 Action-

The circumstances of life comes in all different shapes and sizes. The ONLY solution is Jesus. More often then not, we are the cause (ie. our sin) of the storms in our lives. The Bible gives us the best advice and its found it Proverbs 3:5-6. It says that we should trust the LORD and not ourselves b/c after all we are all flawed-sinners (Rom 3:10, 23).

If we acknowledge the LORD in all that we do, he will make our path straight (Prov 3:6). AMEN!

In whom do you TRUST when in the storms of life?

TueTuesdayAprApril2nd2013 2 Gates; 2 Ways to Walk

-‘Charge 2 Action’-

In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus says there are two gates and two ways to walk. One gate is wide and the way is easy. It ends in destruction and MANY ENTER. The other gate is narrow and the way is hard. It requires you to deny yourself, to stoop. Even though it’s hard IT LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE, but FEW find it. The way of the world is easy. The way of Jesus may be hard, but the ending result is ETERNAL LIFE.

Continue to enter the narrow gate. Walk by faith being led by the Spirit. Keep on turning away from the things that are evil and let the love of Christ compel you.

TueTuesdayMarMarch19th2013 Deny Yourself

‘Charge 2 Action’

There is no way to follow Christ if you will not submit to him. How do you follow someone/something if you won’t listen to them? Easy…You can’t brothers! Jesus says in Luke 9:23 to deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow him. This is how you follow Jesus daily. This life is not about you. “For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it (Luke 9:24).” These are the words of Jesus and his words give life and truth. Keep denying yourself, keep taking up your cross, and KEEP FOLLOWING JESUS.

TueTuesdayMarMarch12th2013 Fear Not

‘Charge 2 Action’

Pastor D says as men we have 4 areas of fear in our lives. They are the fear of failure, rejection, isolation, and loneliness.  And what does the bible say about fear? In 2 Timothy 1:7, “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self control.” Another in 1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has been perfected in love.” The bible teaches us to not fear, but to love. Trust in JESUS and his perfect love will cast our your fears.

TueTuesdayMarMarch5th2013 Repent or Perish

‘Charge 2 Action’-

Repent or Perish. It’s a decision we all (whether we know it or not) are faced with. In Luke 13:1-5, Jesus says it no clearer. In verse 3 Jesus says, “No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” More supporting scripture out of 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

The Spirit was leading more so on this night as Darien had our leaders available to our men for them to confess sins, repent, and be prayed for. On this night, there were over 75 guys who got up out of their chair and humbly asked for prayer and repentance. And we praise God for this night! Hoorah!

TueTuesdayFebFebruary19th2013 FIGHT ‘Charge 2 Action’-

Pursue JESUS and more of JESUS. In 1 Timothy 6:11, the Apostle Paul tells us to “pursue “righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness”. Does that not sound like JESUS? He is all of that. When we pursue these things Paul mentioned we pursue JESUS. The Apostle Paul also tells us to “FIGHT the good fight of faith (1 Tim 6:12).” It’s not new to us that the world is against us, but we know that Christ is for us (Rom 8:31). Our purpose and hope is JESUS. Pursue JESUS and more of JESUS!

TueTuesdayFebFebruary12th2013 Marks of the True Christian ‘Charge 2 Action’-

Do you have the marks of a True Christian that the Apostle Paul talks about in Romans 12:9-21? He mentions love, kindness, honor, joy, peace, constant in prayer, and generosity. This will most definitely convict us and it should brothers. We are not of this world, but set apart. The Apostle Paul writes about these marks for our benefit. It is a constant reminder to us on how we should act. Take an inventory and by the power of the Holy Spirit make sure you have these marks.

TueTuesdayFebFebruary5th2013 Walk in the Light 'Charge 2 Action'-

When you walk in the light, you are cleansed from all unrighteousness. Tonight’s message was out 1 John 1:5-9 and verse 7 says that when we walk in the light “we have fellowship with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” When we walk in the light, we walk with God. When we walk in the darkness, we walk with the Devil. It’s a simple as that. SEEK first His Kingdom, OBSERVE all that has been commanded to you, and WALK by faith not by sight. And remember this: JESUS, JESUS, JESUS!

NOTE: This podcast was shorter than normal because we had a guest speaker.

TueTuesdayJanJanuary29th2013 SEEK “Charge 2 Action”-

Tonight’s talk was from Matthew 6:33, focused on the ‘S’ in ‘S.O.W to Grow’; SEEK. This piece of scripture is packed with so much and it is a guideline on how we are to live our daily lives as Christians. Jesus says here “but SEEK first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” A few verses before, Jesus uses illustrations of anxiety and fear. His answer is seeking after God’s kingdom and righteousness and all those things you worry about and need (food, clothing, etc.) will be given to you. Put your worries, your cares, your needs, and your concerns at the foot of the cross.

Brothers, we can get so entangled with the world that we lose focus on SEEKING the kingdom of God and the only true thing that matters; Jesus Christ and him crucified.

TueTuesdayJanJanuary8th2013 The 2013 Slogan
byDarien Bennett Tagged No tags 0 comments Add comment
On January 8th, 2013, Pastor D gave his slogan to the men. Last year it was 'Think UP' and 'Be F.A.T for Christ'. Our men were to be Faithful, Available, and Teachable in 2012. In 2011, it was 'L.O.V.E it UP'. That year they were to Love more, Offer more, Value more, and Encourage more. This year it’s ‘You Need to S.O.W to Grow’.

     SEEK - OBSERVE - WALK

Seek - "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness" (Matthew 6:33). This is a Christ-centered lifestyle one that bears the fruit of a transformed life.

Observe -"When you sit down to eat with a ruler, observe carefully what is before you, and put a knife to your throat if you are given to appetite" (Proverbs 23:1-20). This is a warning to those who are attracted to the appetite of the rich and powerful. Christians are called to "observe" all that Jesus has commanded and teach others to do likewise. We need to meditate on these things on a regular basis.

Walk -"For we walk by faith not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). Those who walk by faith and led by the Spirit. The idea is not to walk according to the flesh but by the Spirit (Romans 8:4) so that you may "not gratify the desires of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16). It is the Spirit of God that produces the "fruit" (Galatians 5:22-23) that we are to bring forth in our daily lives.

TueTuesdayNovNovember20th2012 In All Circumstances (Be Thankful) “Charge 2 Action”-
We are told in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 to rejoice, pray, and give thanks in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. Whatever the situation may be, God wants us to give thanks NO MATTER WHAT. The glory is God’s and greater is Jesus in us than the circumstance is. So again, “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Thess 5:18).” This Thanksgiving, think about what you are thankful for and thank God for Jesus. Pastor D is now on iTunes and you can subscribe free to the podcasts.

byDarien Bennett Tagged No tags 0 comments Add comment
“Charge 2 Action”- In 1 Timothy 6:12, we are called to “fight is a the good fight of faith (1 Tim 6:12).” We are called to fight and to fight like a maniac. The way you fight is by taking hold of the eternal life to which you were called. We are under attack every moment of our lives (Eph 6:12) by 3 principal enemies. They are the flesh (your own/others), the world, and the devil. As Christians, we need to always look to Jesus for victory, strength, and courage. Remember, Jesus has conquered death and sin and the only way into heaven is faith in Jesus Christ.

AISI’s “Charge 2 Action”- Tonight, Pastor D re-capped his message from the Men’s Summit and his message was simple: stay H.O.T. for Christ and you will have a godly legacy. The ‘H’ stands for holiness, the ‘O’ for Obedience, and the ‘T’ for Trust. What’s your legacy? Is it a ‘H.O.T.’ one? You need Jesus for a ‘H.O.T.’ legacy.

AISI’s “Charge to Action”-

In Isaiah 55:6-7, we seek the LORD by forsaking our unrighteousness and seeking the righteousness of God. We know that when we come to the LORD, he forgives us (Matt 11:28, Acts 26:18). And we also know that if we confess our sins, God cleanses us of our unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Seek the LORD and call upon him while he is near. Continue to seek Christ and him crucified (1 Cor 2:2). Continue to forsake your way (Luke 9:23) and your flesh/thoughts (Col 3:1-2, Rom 12:2, 2 Cor 5:17). JESUS→JESUS→JESUS!!

byDarien Bennett Tagged No tags 0 comments Add comment
AISI’s “Charge to Action”-

In 1 John 2:15-17, we are to NOT love the world. Why? Because all that is in the world, is from the world and not from the Father (1 John 2:16). Do you love the world? “If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him (1 John 2:15).” Brothers, this world and EVERYTHING in it is falling away. Don’t put your hope, trust, or love in this world, but put in JESUS. Find encouragement in the end of v.17; “but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” Abide in him and he will abide in you (John 15:4). And the answer is always Jesus and his love.

AISI’s “Charge to Action”-

Pastor D says every Tuesday night, “JESUS, JESUS, JESUS!” and that’s what the Apostle Paul speaks on in Colossians 1:28-29. He (Jesus) is who we are to proclaim, admonish, teach to everyone. Brothers, its all about Jesus Christ and him crucified (1 Cor 2:2). Notice in v. 29, Paul writes “to this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.” Christ gives us strength to the very end brothers. Be encouraged through difficult times in your life. Once again, its JESUS, JESUS, JESUS!

AISI’s “Charge to Action”-
In honor of nation’s Independence Day, we daily observe our freedom. In Galatians 5:13, the Apostle Paul writes, “you, my brothers & sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh..” Our freedom is contingent on us repenting of our sins and turning to Jesus. We can’t us our freedom to our advantage or to abuse it. We live in these fallen bodies, wanting to gratify its sinful desires. Our freedom is over this bondage of sin. Simply put; if you have no Jesus, then you have no freedom. Read the rest of Galatians 5 for more encouragement & application.

TueTuesdayJunJune5th2012 Do You LOVE Me? AISI’s “Charge to Action”-
In John 14: 15-31, Jesus promises the Holy Spirit to all Christians. We are to LOVE Jesus & keep his commandments (John 14:15). Jesus will there will be “another Helper (John 14:16)” to be with us forever. Jesus says in v.19 “the world will see me no more”. Therefore, the world now sees Jesus through us. We live, guided by the Holy Spirit. “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, & my Father will love him, & we will come to him & make our home with him.” Be ready to be lead by the Holy Spirit & be ready to lead others. If you have JESUS, you have the SPIRIT. The Spirit gives all that you need.

byDarien Bennett Tagged No tags 0 comments Add comment
AISI’s “Charge to Action”- In 1 Timothy 6:11-12, the Apostle Paul calls men of God to “fight the good fight of faith (v12).” We are also to flee from material possessions & “pursue righteousness, godliness, gentleness, faith, love, steadfastness, & gentleness (v11).” On Tuesday night, we help each other fight the good fight by learning what is right, then doing what is right, because its right. We learn God’s word, by doing God’s will, for God’s glory! So we can do the right thing, the right way, for the right reason. Take hold of your eternal life and fight the good fight. GO ALL IN! byDarien Bennett Tagged No tags 0 comments Add comment
AISI’s “Charge to Action”- Be encouraged by 1 John 5:11-13. The only person that can save us from hell is Jesus. And he is the only one who can take the wrath of God away from us (Rom 5:9). And there is only one name given on which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in the Son (1 John 5:11).” You have the Son (Jesus) you have life. If you don’t have Jesus, then you have death; a death that has misery, torment, and punishment. We have two options: take Jesus for LIFE or yourself for DEATH. Share the good news of life only found in Jesus!!

AISI’s “Charge to Action”- The bible is clear when Jesus says in John 5:24-29 that those who “hears my word & believes him who sent me has eternal life & will not be condemned (John 5:24).” Pretty clear instructions. Remember our motto for this year: Think Up and be F.A.T for Christ. We are to be faithful, available, teachable. There is not other way (John 14:6), no other religion, no other word, no other name (Acts 4:12), and no other god. JESUS → JESUS → JESUS!!
